Hi-five to our cookbook winner!
April 8th, 2009
This photo isn’t of our winner, but it is of my friend Liz and a friendly alligator we met on a trip to Florida a few years ago! Liz is coming to next month’s Sunday Cooking Club. Are you? Sign up now for May 3rd.
I’m happy to announce the winner of my Kripalu cookbook contest today. The winner was chosen by a random number generator at Random.org. There’s a website for everything, isn’t there? I love it. Here was the result:

While I’d love to give ALL of you free cookbooks, the winner is someone I was especially pleased to see win the contest. A few weekends ago I completed a Yin Yoga teacher training at Back Bay Yoga in Boston. In the locker room during a quick break I noticed that the girl next to me was reading The Wisdom of Yoga by Stephen Cope. Well, this is one of my very favorite books and very favorite authors. I had to say something.
So I did, and we started chatting about Stephen Cope. She asked if I’d ever been to Kripalu, the yoga center where Stephen Cope works. “Well, yes, I have been there! And yes, I’d recommend it highly!” I said. “And you know what else? The food there is amazing. If you’re interested, I’m giving away a cookbook from the Kripalu kitchen on my blog.”
So I’m happy to announce the winner of the Kripalu cookbook contest is Sita, from Boston, MA. She was motivated enough to take my card and go look up this website and enter the contest and I hope this cookbook will give her a taste of Kripalu to tide her over before she gets there in person. Sita, please email me your mailing address and I’ll get the book off to you asap!
Congratulations, Sita! And thank you to everyone who entered. Contests are fun, yes?
Live in Boston and still haven’t signed up for Sunday Cooking Club? What are you waiting for? I’m also open to hearing your ideas about what you’d like to see offered for one of my upcoming Cooking Club sessions. Email me!
