blogdetox Reinvent Yourself: 21 Day Detox

Feeling tired? Sluggish? Stuck in a rut? When you change your food, your life automatically changes with it. It has to – your food literally becomes the tissues of your body and brain. Are you ready to walk into fall feeling confident, energized and focused?

It all starts here!

This September, give yourself a fresh start with my 21 Day Detox. We will gently clean our bodies and minds from the inside out using real, whole, delicious food and simple lifestyle suggestions. Don’t worry, this is definitely not about fasting or spending a lot of money on herbs.

Within the first week or two, you will notice positive changes in your body, energy levels, moods and mental clarity. Emphasis will be placed on nourishing, detoxifying whole foods. In addition, we’ll shift away from foods that are typically difficult to digest, allergenic or addictive. By the end of 21 days, you will have generated momentum to continue living in a clean body! Best of all, you will have the support of the group as you go through this transformation.

From past participants:

I’m on medication to bring down my blood pressure since diet and exercise didn’t seem to be doing anything previously. I took my BP this morning for the first time on the Detox, and it’s the lowest I have ever seen it – a very healthy reading. I guess I wasn’t expecting this to make such a big, positive difference in my life. -P.B.

This detox has been fantastic. I’ve been amazed at my energy levels and the general happiness of my body. Thanks for your great work in orchestrating this! The recipes and your support are making all the difference. -K.F.

I learned there is a way to break my habit for needing a sweet snack around 9 pm. And I learned I love quinoa and don’t need to feel like a stuffed pig at the end of every meal at a restaurant. Finally, I learned that stress management and eating MUST be related somehow. When I’m eating well, I just seem to handle little stresses better. Thanks again Michelle. I’ll definitely do this again. -J.B.

I’ve enjoyed losing 7 pounds, learning and loving to cook and feeling great! I want to thank Michelle for this wonderful detox and inspiring a life-changing relationship with foods for me!! I am sooo happy I did it, it’s one of the best choices I’ve made yet, and I believe it is just the stepping stone to many more healthy choices in the future. Thank you for making me see food more clearly. -C.H.

Hey Michelle, this is wonderful. My Mom wants to do a detox type diet with my sister who may have a new and somewhat serious medical issue. Would you be able to provide online support in helping them keep as raw as possible while also doing the above in terms of keeping away from allergenic and addictive foods?
    Let me know (smile)…

Sounds very good! As soon as I give birth I will have to do something similar… feel like an elephant right now :)

    Hi Michelle,
I’m new to your site, and interested to hear more about the 21-day detox. My question is about the structure of this class: will you be planning our meals to determine what we’ll eat each day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or will we need to figure that out. Meal planning is always the hardest part of my day… so I end up waiting until I’m starving, and then grabbing whatever I can find to eat. NOT a healthy habit!

  • Michelle

    Hey Jane,
From my experience, some people want to be told exactly what to eat and others prefer just guidelines to work from. I try to give a bit of both! Many past participants have told me that through the detox they learned how to better plan for meals and created a healthy habit that lasts well after the 21 days. We’d love to have you – feel free to email me with any other questions!

    hey michelle,

is it possible to participate in the september detox while pregnant?? I am giving birth in February!

    thx,

    tina

  • Michelle

    Hi Tina,
It’s entirely possible but depends on how you are doing with food during your pregnancy. I personally have had so many aversions, cravings and general food weirdness being pregnant that I would not want to add any other variables to what I’m eating/not eating! (I’m due in Feb too!)

But maybe you haven’t had much food craziness with your pregnancy? Lucky. The program is safe for pregnancy and I will give you special instructions to make sure you are giving baby everything s/he needs.

    hey michelle,
i’m interested in detoxing, badly. i live in california and would follow your program remotely. i think i can do it, but my question is,- what if i cheat? as in, what if i’m “good” or stay on track for the most part, but have a taste of wine one night during the process? i know me.. i’m very social, and not seeing/going out with friends/partaking in outdoor dining will be hard for 21 days straight. what are your thoughts on this?

  • Michelle

Well that’s a good question Susan! But don’t worry. Nothing bad is going to happen if you have a taste of wine. But if you’re like most people who sign up, you’re really interested in seeing what the results are going to be, so you’re not going to want to deviate from the program. And if you do, you’ll just get back on track. No biggie. No one is perfect, right?

Side note: Detoxing does not mean you have to abandon your social life. It might mean you’ll do things a little differently, that’s all ;-)
