Throughout our school years we all followed a set path, K-12. Even in higher education the courses were mapped out for us, the assignments the same each year. Maybe we went on to get a job with a fixed salary, certain schedule, a boss who told us what to do.
You and I? We wanted more. We wanted to follow our passion, to do work we love. And here we are! Womenpreneurs, mompreneurs, a little scared but mostly excited to hold the reins!
But the truth is, we often get overwhelmed running our own business. We look to others to see how they do it. We seek out formulas and rules to follow. But there are no rules to follow, there is no boss to tell us how its done.
If you know you could be making more money, feeling more fulfilled and making a real difference in the world – it’s time to turn things around.

I never thought I’d have my own business. I certainly never thought anyone would consider me an expert or listen to what I had to say! If you told me 5 years ago that I’d be making passive income with a web storefront full of ebooks, I’d have laughed in your face.
Yet, it’s all true.
So let’s talk about self publishing. It’s available to everyone, you know. (Thank you, internet.) That’s right – you could be selling your very own book on Amazon.com this year. How’s that for feeling like an expert?

Recently on our Mamacoach Circle forum we were talking about why we do the work we do. And the gist of everyone’s response was: “Because I love it. Because I believe in it.”
It’s true. This is work from the heart and soul. So awesome.
The downside? It’s often hard to shift what you love to do from a hobby to a business. To earn an actual income. And to think big, to affect many lives and make a name for yourself.
You know what I’m talking about. That’s why so many of you come to Hannah and I saying, “Help! I’ve been in business for 3 years and I’m barely making a profit!” or “I’m stuck! I don’t know how to get my name out there.”

You look familiar.
You are the woman sitting in a food court with a Tupperware container you brought from home carrying brown rice and beans. Or maybe you get a burrito, but tonight you’re definitely having kale for dinner.
